For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we revisit the very early days of the program with an Alan Hunter-hosted “120 X-Ray” segment on New Order that ran during the show’s first year on the air. As you can see from the clip posted below (via MrPhilrand), the “X-Ray” features Bernard Sumner talking about how the band brought on Gillian Gilbert — and why, because of the band’s punk roots, it was OK that she wasn’t a brilliant musician.

This has been posted for a while but watching it again I noticed just how snarky Alan Hunter sounds. He looks anxious to get to The Hooters concert he has tickets for later or something.
