Another festival, another webcast: The Cure tonight played Rock Werchter 2012 in Belgium, and, as has become customary, part of the band’s set was broadcast live over the web. Any new songs Bob? No? The touring museum continues….
Ugh, Paul…who wants any new songs. The last few albums have been complete crap. They should resign themselves to the touring museum bit.
Excellent show, seems tighter than other festivals (maybe b/c they seem more serious?). This one is directed so much better than the other webcasts IMO. They totally captured the Cure mood, especially during PoY. It’s like watching them in ’89. Let that “museum” continue, we’re not complaining. :)
Agreed but Smith is the one who was saying for years and years that he didnt want the Cure to turn into the Rolling Stones, meaningless touring for the sake of it…well here he is…
I desperately want to see them live before RS hangs it up. Its a bucket list event for me
“meaningless touring”
To you, Paul–not to the HUNDREDS of thousands of people who will show up this summer and not to the band. Did you ever think the man just enjoys playing his own songs? If you don’t dig it, don’t attend–and don’t waste your time whining, you sound like a twit.
