After an “instant sell-out” of Morrissey’s October date at the famed Radio City Music Hall, the former Smiths singer today announced two more New York City concerts at the smaller Terminal 5 venue. Moz will now follow his Oct. 10 date at the 6,000 seat Radio City with concerts on Oct. 12 and 13 at the 3,000-capacity Terminal 5, according to a notice posted to fansite True To You; both concerts go on sale Friday, June 29.

The interesting date on here is the October 30 date at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA, IMO. The Surf Ballroom is notable as the final venue for Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper. I live in Cedar Rapids, IA, and I’m considering hitting this show since it’s relatively close and I’ve always wanted to see a show there.
