As we noted earlier in the week, Seattle’s KEXP has been uploading video of some of its past in-studio sessions to YouTube, and here’s another: A Sept. 23, 2009, visit by the Meat Puppets during which the brothers Kirkwood performed four tracks — “Go To Your Head,” “Rotten Shame,” “Sewn Together” and “The Monkey And The Snake” — off their then-new album Sewn Together, plus “one of those Nirvana songs.”
That’s a reference to “Plateau,” one of the three Meat Puppets II songs the brothers performed with Nirvana on the band’s MTV Unplugged in New York album. Above, you can see the KEXP performance of “Plateau,” while the other four songs are posted below.
