BACKSTORY: Fire Records this week reissues, in the U.K., the Brtipop act’s first three albums — from 1983, 1987 and 1992 — in expanded editions with B-sides, non-LP singles and a smattering of previously unreleased material; the It and Separations reissues remain single-disc affairs, while Freaks is a 2CD set (see full tracklists here).

BACKSTORY: The former Magazine bassist, who also has played with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Visage, returns this week with his first solo album in four years. The record features tracks such as “Black Holes in My Brain,” “Get Your Mind Right, “Looking to Love Somebody,” “The Trigger City Blues” and “The Power of Suggestion.”

BACKSTORY: The Lips’ first five Warner Bros. albums, released between 1992 and 2002, were assembled for the Heady Nuggs vinyl box set last year, and now are reissued on vinyl individually.
