With Bob Mould’s birthday approaching — he’ll be 51 on Sunday — we thought we’d dedicate this latest installment of Vintage Video to the legendary Hüsker Dü. And so we present this fantastic footage of the trio powering through an hour-long set at London’s Camden Palace in 1985, brought to our attention by A Thousand Voices Talk.
The 21-song set, the band’s first-ever performance in England, was filmed for the U.K. television show “Live From London” — that’s the show intro you see at the front end of this video — and has been released in quasi-official form both on VHS and DVD over the years.

Wow, this goes back
Brilliant! Thanks for the post. Can’t wait to see Bob and friends at the Disney Concert Hall!
I am happy to boast that I own a store bought VHS of this from London. My parents were visiting the UK and I begged them to buy it for me when I saw it advertised in an issue of NME.
Saw them on this ’85 tour in Deventer, the Netherlands, still one of the loudest gigs I’ve ever seen (and heard..)
Would love to see this one on HD quality!
