The U2 documentary “From the Sky Down” — about the making of Achtung Baby — will premiere Oct. 29 on Showtime in advance of its appearance on the expanded reissue of the Irish band’s 1991 album. Thanks to the cable network, you can now see a trailer featuring three minutes of the film, directed by Oscar-winner Davis Guggenheim (“An Inconvenient Truth”), who previously worked with The Edge in “It Might Get Loud.”
As you can see from the clip above, the trailer features footage of U2 revisiting the Berlin studio where the album was recorded mixed with archival images and, interestingly, some animation. Check it out above, and see full details on the Achtung Baby reissue, due out Nov. 1, here. And if this trailer won’t play outside the U.S., as fansite @U2 reports, watch it over at U2.com.
