Tonight in Chicago, for the first time ever, U2 performed “Your Blue Room,” one of the standout songs on Original Soundtracks 1, the album the band recorded with Brian Eno under the Passengers banner in 1995. U2 had been rehearsing the song during soundchecks for its European shows this summer, and enlisted astronauts on the International Space Station (for some reason) to recite Adam Clayton’s spoken-word outro in a prerecorded bit. After “Miss Sarajevo,” “Your Blue Room” is now only the second Passengers song performed in concert.
