With the long-awaited Depeche Mode remix compilation — Remixes 2: 81-11, featuring contributions from former members Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder — now officially announced, the band has wasted no time promoting the June 7 release. This morning they posted one of the set’s key tracks, “Personal Jesus (Alex Metric Remix),” a new take on the Violator smash that will serve as the album’s lead-off single. Not bad….I was a bit apprehensive as many of the remixes lately have been way too techno-y, but this one at least stays true to the song!
