Just last week, we marked the 48th birthday of Gary “Mani” Mounfield — and today we celebrate a Stone Roses birthday again, as guitarist John Squire also turns 48. Never one to pass up a chance to post a Roses video, we offer up this classic clip of the band performing “Waterfall” — featuring one of Squire’s defining guitar parts — on Tony Wilson’s TV show “The Other Side of Midnight” in March 1989, right around the release of the band’s self-titled debut.
