This fall not only sees a new deluxe reissue of The Jam’s classic Sound Affects, but former frontman Paul Weller also is lining up a live CD/DVD package called Find the Torch, Burn the Plans that will feature a new Julien Temple documentary and a live concert recorded at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Due out Nov. 29 in the U.K., the new collection takes its name from the third single released from Weller’s acclaimed 2010 album Wake Up the Nation. The DVD — the trailer of which is posted above — features Temple’s documentary, a video for “7&3 is the Striker’s Name” and a 26-song show filmed during Weller’s five-night residency at Royal Albert Hall last May — although not, apparently, the night ex-Jam bandmate Bruce Foxton showed up.
The package also comes with a CD featuring 12 songs from the Royal Albert Hall show (which includes Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones sitting in for “The Eton Rifles” and “That’s Entertainment”), plus six more tracks from a Weller performance recorded for the BBC.
