San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall this fall hosts a pair of truly special concerts dubbed “Costello Sings Lowe/Nick Sings Elvis,” a one-night charity event that will feature Elvis Costello performing songs written by his onetime producer and collaborator Nick Lowe, and vice versa.

On Oct. 1, the duo will play two shows — at 8 and 11 p.m. — to benefit the Richard de Lone Special Housing Fund, a nonprofit organization with the mission of establishing a state-of the-art residential group home in San Francisco. Tickets, $125 and $200 (the latter includes dinner, only for the 8 p.m. show) are on sale now at gamhtickets.com.

Lowe famously produced Costello’s first five albums — 1977’s My Aim is True through 1981’s Trust — plus 1986’s Blood and Chocolate. Costello also scored a hit with his cover of Lowe’s 1974 song “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding.”
