You can’t say Peter Buck doesn’t keep himself busy. Between recording R.E.M.’s next album — due out next year — and logging studio time with The Decemberists, the guitarist managed to pop up on stage in Berlin last night with Pearl Jam. Buck and his perpetual sideman, Scott McCaughey, joined the Seattle rockers during their encore to rip through the MC5 classic (see video above and photos here). Incidentally, the set also included the debut of Pearl Jam’s cover of Public Image Ltd.’s “Public Image” (sans Buck) — you can check out that video below.
