For our latest Vintage Video, we present this pro-shot footage of Dinosaur Jr’s original (and current) lineup — J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph — rehearsing at the University of Massachusetts in 1986. The 19-minute clip was posted to Vimeo just a few hours ago by Jeremiah Hester (who’s also got great footage of Dinosaur Jr in 1989 and 1993), and finds the band playing “Gargoyle,” off the trio’s 1985 debut Dinosaur, and four songs (“Tarpit,” “Kracked,” “Lose” and “Raisins”) that would end up on 1987 sophomore effort You’re Living All Over Me.
