“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, explores the darker side of classic ’80s alternative, including vintage goth, post-punk and industrial. The shows airs at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33).

The most recent two episodes are also available to subscribers to stream via the Sirius XM app.

Got a request? Requests will be considered for future episodes as long as they fit the show’s format and fall generally within the 1st Wave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song. If there’s something you’d like to hear, drop it in the comments below.

  1. Hi Matt, great show, thanks for playing KMFDM!

    Have a good night!

  2. Ooooh . . . Electrafixion!!! Boy was that a great album! I saw them on that tour : – )
How about another track from that album? I’d love to hear any of these –
    Burned
    Too Far Gone
    Zephyr
    Lowdown

    Thanks Matt!

  3. Since it will soon be the 1 year anniversary of David Lynch’s passing, I’d like to request something from his filmography for next week’s show – any dark wave adjacent track will do, but I’ve just seen Twin Peaks: The Return in cinemas this past weekend and would love to hear NIN’s She’s Gone Away. That, or any Lost Highway. Thanks!

  4. For future shows:

    1. Kyoto Song – the Cure
    2. City of Refuge – Nick Cave + the Bad Seeds
    3. Love + Kisses – Altered Images
    4. Sweetness + Light – Lush
    5. Driving Your Girlfriend Home – Morrissey
    6. Funtime – Iggy Pop
    7. A Matter of Time – Berlin
