  1. Tonight was quite the treat. Love to hear anything from Pretty Hate Machine (it’s just good, can’t deny it). Shoe gaze set tonight killed. Has anyone mentioned how appreciated it is today? I’m too old to Tik Tok, but I think I would be ok if the youngins did something with Rubber Glove Seduction. It’s been a frivolous dream of mine. Someone do that. How we feeling something a little exotic yet familiar? Could we hear:

    Parálisis Permanente – Héroes

Way too many bangers to individually gush over. These are my favorite shows you do. Thank you for doing the Lord’s work.

  2. Hi Matt, great show tonight as usual!

    Hard Corps – Desolation Land

    Thanks.

  3. Great show tonight! Thanks for playing Lowlife.

For the next show, Identity House by Pink Turna Blue please.

    Thanks!

  4. That is a great song by Remnant Three. Thanks for playing it. Will be on the look out for the album.

Kind of hard to call it tonight, but I agree with Dane that the Shoegaze block was great. So Hour 2. But the end of Hour 3 gave it a run for the money.

On a future episode maybe something from Paul Barker’s/Bill Rieflin’s pre-Ministry band, the Blackouts. Maybe “Idiot” or “Chipped Beef”.

Thanks for the great music. Have a great week.

  5. Great Labor Day show Matt! I really liked the song by Remnant Three. Goodnight!

  6. Heart and Soul – Joy Division
    A Forest – The Cure
    The Witch – The Cult
Modern English – Carry Me Down
    great fire – XTC
    Halo – Depeche Mode

  7. “Motorway To Roswell” by Pixies for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  8. Rosetta Stone – The Witch
    please n’ thanks Matt

  9. I like the looks of the playlist. Will listen today on my drive to Lousiana.

  10. Great playlist tonight, heard cuts I hadn’t in a long time. 999 and wire were especially nice treats. And a Deep cut from Pretty hate machine. a nice cherry on this Sunday!

  11. Hey Matt, haven’t heard anything from Cranes in awhile! How about Sun and sky?

  12. I’m streaming right now and have enjoyed New Order, Love and Rockets, Massive Attack…and always happy for a block of shoegaze.

A request: JAMC “about you” the perfect closer from Darklands
I’m looking forward to the JAMC book coming soon!

  13. Hugh Cornwell – Venus in Furs

  14. Hoping you can play VAST ” pretty when you cry”

  15. Damn, what a show! Perfect New Order cut indeed to kick things off. Remnant Three track was fantastic, great find, I will be ordering their record. So Alive remix is nice and groovy, and following that with Massive Attack was ace. You know we love the shoegaze block and this was one of the best, Seefeel, hell yeah (they just released a new EP). Thanks for playing Headmaster Ritual! Already have the show on replay this morning.

Remnant Three remind me a little bit of The Wake. How about a dealer’s choice cut from them on a future show?

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  16. Hey Matt,

I’m finally seeing the Sisters next month and I’d like to request one of the following for an upcoming show:
    Nine While Nine
    Colors
    I Was Wrong
    Thanks & cheers!

  17. A hugely awesome show tonight Matt! Thank you for playing my NIN request….there are just some albums that stay with you!! I loved the variety and of course the shoegaze block! Keep the brilliance coming!! Some possible suggestions for next time:

    Kraftwerk – The Model
    Garbage – Crush
Butthole Surfers – Whatever (I Had A Dream)
(2 selections above are both from the Romeo and Juliet 1996 soundtrack)…it’s quite good!

    Thanks again as always!!!! 。◕‿◕。

  18. The Sisterhood- Rain from Heaven

  19. Cop Shoot Cop from Spiritualized would really be cool I would love to hear that. Loved that shoegaze block fantastic! – Rob

    thanks Matt!

  24. Awesome show I would love to hear Another Journey By Train by The Cure for a future show

  25. Matt
Great Set as usual. Some interesting ones you played like Remnent Three was very good. Also that Shoegaze block I always love that! Others were The The, Love and Rockets, Joy Division, New Order and Cure.

  26. I have a request for China Crisis – Wake Up or Public Image Limited- Rules and Regulations.
If you are gonna do another Shoegaze block I would like to hear Lush – Monochrome

    Thanks!!

  27. Loved those duets, especially “Interlude.” Was just listening to some Eno and it reminded me of something I’ve been wanting to request — the Bauhaus cover of “Third Uncle.”

  28. This was an especially great playlist. Thanks for the music as always, Matt!

  29. This show is always the highlight of my week. Thanks for the great playlists. Lately, I’ve had songs from Depeche Mode’s Black Celebration stuck in my head. I’d love to hear Sometimes or Here is the House from that album. Thanks!

  30. Michael Browne

Hooky performing both New Order and Joy Division Substance versions was really amazing! I saw them in Chicago on 9/7 and they’ll be in Denver on 9/28. How about a twofer of confusion and love will tear us apart?

  31. LOVE the show. You mentioned them the a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t play them. For Against, can you play something off the their Coalesced Release (words on music for the CD, Cercle Social Reocrds for the vinyl). Outside a Heart or the Namesake of the release, Coalesced would be great! Thank Matt!

  32. Let’s try putting this in the right place! LOVE the show. Snake Cops and Sad Lovers in the same show! Epic (pun intended!)

You mentioned them the a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t play them. For Against, can you play something off the their Coalesced Release (words on music for the CD, Cercle Social Reocrds for the vinyl). Outside a Heart or the Namesake of the release, Coalesced would be great! But anything will do! Thanks Matt!
