  1. I was thinking we could use some Tiffany, thank you for that. I especially enjoyed the third hour industrial block with Front 242. And it looks like the rest of the show is going to be great too. Let’s add one to the shoegaze fire :

    My Bloody Valentine- i believe.

This was a wonderful way to finish the week off. Thank you for doing the Lord’s work.

  2. Great show but Hour 1 killed it. Every time you play something off Mexican Moon I have to go back and listen to that whole album again. Course that’s true with any CB album.

Thanks for music for the week. It will be a good one. Have a good one yourself.

  3. Great show like always, Matt! I loved manufacture tonight.

  4. “Sheila Take a Bow” by the Smiths/Morrissey for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  5. Absolutely loved that you played “Twist” by Tones On Tail. That’s gotta be my favorite song from Tones. Still hoping that someday maybe we’ll get a tour from them!!

Anyway, it’s been a while since I requested anything so I’m going to give it a go now. You could always hold these off until your show on the 28th to celebrate Daniel Ash’s birthday.

Love and Rockets – Lucifer Sam
Love and Rockets – An American Dream
Bauhaus – Watch That Grandad Go

  6. Great set as always!
Future request suggestion – Gala by Euroshima

  7. Gavin Friday – Tell Tale Heart

  8. Can you dig out

    Wire – A Touching Display
    Kraftwerk – The Robots
    Ministry – Nature Of Love
Joy Division – I Remember Nothing
    Depeche Mode – Blue Dress

  9. How about a bit of Men Without Hats? Antarctica or I Like would be nice. Everyone just thinks of Safety Dance when it come to MWH, but they are more than that. Just a thought.

  10. Really solid playlist this week Matt! Loved Holiday in Cambodia and Worlock especially….also loved Harold & Joe!! I’m in a shoegaze state of mind….. some possible suggestions for next time:

    Chapterhouse – Breather
    Catherine Wheel – Crank
    Slowdive – Shanty

    Thanks again as always!!!!! 。◕‿◕。

  11. Excellent show last night. Hour 3 gets the slight edge with For Against and Abecedarians and many thanks for the Gang of Four request. Now My Heart Is Full just might be Moz’s best solo single, in the discussion at least. Already have this set on replay.

I would like to second all of Tina’s shoegaze vibes above and throw in one more for consideration: “Son of Mustang Ford” – Swervedriver

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  12. Enjoyed the punk and industrial blocks!

    Here are some requests –

Wall of Voodoo – Back in Flesh
Cocteau Twins – Crushed (which is one of several official music videos they have now released on their YouTube channel – so cool!)

  13. Thank you for including my Bowie request – it’s appreciated. I loved the cover songs throughout, Naked Raygun, JAMC, Bauhaus, Gang of Four…and “LA rain” is such a gem!

I’m digging the slew of shoegaze requests so I’ll toss one in:
    Ride “Polar Bear”

  14. Constantine

Can you play Mad Jack by The Chameleons

    Thanks Matt

  15. Black Heart by Marc & The Mambas

    Thanks! Always killing it!

  16. Hi I have a request for Front 242 – animal. It was featured on MTV when they still played actual songs! It has 99 kowalski as singer on this cut. There is a remix of it but I think it distorts voice a bit.
Or another Front 242 song- circling Overland is another good song.

  17. haven’t had space to comment for the last few weeks. All shows have been great! There was a no wave block a few weeks back that rocked, the covers have been amazing (Concrete Blonde doing Little Wing? Siouxsie and Kraftwerk?? Keep ’em coming!), and everything else… anyway thanks for the essential listening, as always.

For a future show how about Burning Dirt from TKK or idiots rule or 1% from Jane’s?

    Thanks Matt!

  18. Violent Femmes – Promise (1983)
Sort Sol – Marble Station (1981)

  19. How about Burnt Soul from Front Line Assembly next week. Hail the synth!

  20. Dennis Gonzalez

Could you please play any of these this week or next:

Ghost Dance – “When I Call”
    Mazzy Star – “Ghost Highway”
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds – “Lament”
JAMC – “Deep One Perfect Morning”

  21. Great choices here. Also, Sirius XM finally fixed their app so I can pick up where I left off when listening to you show. Hooray!

Can you please play Head by the Jesus and Mary Chain? It was the b-side to Just Like Honey I believe, and one of their best early songs!

  22. Hi Matt, could you play something by Blood and Roses? Thanks!

  23. Primal Scream – Kowalski

  24. Hello! Awesome to hear Anne Clark and thanks for playing “Push!” the other week. If you have them, would you minding playing “Lack of Sense” by Tribantura or the Peel Session of Cocteau Twins’ “Hazel?” Thank you!

  25. Thanks Matt for playing Young Gods, Sister Machine Gun, and Manufacture. Keep the Industrial music coming.

  26. Ayria – St. Edith
    I:Scintilla – ammunition

  27. Derek von Haag

Hi Matt. Your show has not been streaming correctly on Sirius XM since the app redesign several months ago. I DM’d you on X going into detail. @modernheartsurg. I will try contacting them again Monday. So far they have not been responsive.

  28. I listened to both shows around the same time, so I’m not sure when this happened – but since you’re getting grief about cover songs, how about you do a whole 3 hours dedicated to cover songs. Be a troll!

But I’m really just selfishly hoping to use this opportunity to hear The Soft Moon (RIP) on the playlist! I know they’re too current, but you do play some pretty newish songs from Bauhaus and Depeche Mode (I understand they originate during Dark Wave…)

The Soft Moon covered “No-One Driving” by John Foxx, which you did play months ago per my request haha. Now if only you could play the cover – I can’t imagine people won’t fall in love with The Soft Moon. I’d link, but I’m sure it’ll get blocked as spam like last time. The Soft Moon No-One Driving is on Youtube and Spotify.

    Thanks!

  29. Ian Astbury

    Hey Matt,

Always a great sonic adventure. Brings us all back to the good / better times!

    How about >

Rational Youth – City Of Night
Kraftwerk – Radioactivity (The Mix – Mix)
    Chris + Cosey – Obsession
The The – Slow Train To Dawn
    Public Image Limited – Seattle
