  1. What a fun first hour. Cloudbusting, as amazing as it is, also makes me think of Utah Saints every time I hear it. I cannot be the only one. I feel like you’ve said you didn’t catch Love and Rockets last year, I cannot recommend you remedying that enough. Would you be so kind as to play:

    Love and Rockets- Love Me

It’s especially good live.Thank you for making Sunday nights a destination and for doing the Lord’s work.

  2. “See Those Eyes” by Altered Images for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. Well school is out and you reminded me by playing 45 Grave that they do a cool cover of Alice Coopers Schools out and if not that version there is also an Alien Sex Fiend version unofficial I assume though. That would be my only request

  4. Great episode tonight Matt! I really liked Houses in Motion.

  5. Joy Division – Auto-Suggestion
Depeche Mode- Fly On The Widescreen (Extended Version)
New Order- The Perfect Kiss (Extended Version)
Velvet Underground – Venus In Furs

    • Hello Matt happy Monday afternoon to you! Thank you for playing Mirror People & Crucify Me — love Moev — I grew up living very close to the Canadian border (still do today, just further up the Lake!) so heard them often. I recall two other bands — Industrial Artz and Malhavoc — if you were looking at some other potential Canadian Dark Wave artists. Of course Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly are way more well known.
I am delighted to report that I purchased Psychedelic Furs/Jesus and Mary Chain tickets for their upcoming tour (Rochester). I would like to request…..

Psychedelic Furs – All That Money Wants
Jesus and Mary Chain – Drop

Thank you so much for making OuR collective Sunday nights!!!

    • Whoops sorry about that!!! ^^^^°

    • Love these requests!

  6. Cowboys International— Thrash

  7. Cloudbusting was perfectly timed. I always loved that video. R.I.P. Donald Sutherland.

  8. Electronic – Getting Away With It

  9. Hi Matt – I am a week behind and caught the NIN from the precious show. I was lucky enough to catch their first tour with Die Warzau opening up for them. Can you play something from their Disco Rigido album? Thanks for the Consolidated a few weeks back.
Die Warzau – Money After All

  10. Jesus & Mary Chain – Perfume (Hope Sandoval) (1998)
    The Wall – Barriers (1982)

  11. Shy Reptiles – High desire

    • Got my tix as well for the San Francisco show, yes! Gotta second both of these great tracks but if it’s one or the other gotta go with Drop, great deep cut off Automatic.

  13. Thank you for another fine episode of the dark stuff! A few of my highlights include Wire, The Slits, Smiths and New Order.
A request for an upcoming show:
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds “from her to eternity” (if possible, the version from Live Seeds)
    Thanks!

  14. Loved this set, felt like a Matt deep cuts show, so good. Coin flip between hours one and three for me but hour two had Mirror People slow version so I can’t choose a winner. That’s why we love this show so much.

No requests this week just want to thank the best DJ on Sirius for continually spoiling us with some of the best music ever made.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  15. Hi Matt — Thanks for the great soundtracks to Monday commutes! If you happen to have, would you mind playing “Push” by The Invincible Spirit or “Proximity Switch” by Informatics. Thanks again!!

  16. Hey Matt – Thanks for the great show as always would you mind playing Before We Drown From Depeche Mode. Thanks!!!

  17. Great show as always love it all. Could you please play
A portrait destroyed by fire by Guided By Voices
It is one of my favorite songs every
    Thanks.

  18. Good calls on the Kate Bush, The Cure, and A Certain Ratio. But the last four in Hour 2 gave it the win this week for me. Great show.

Thanks for the good music. Have a great week.

  19. Really enjoying Dark Wave shows. This music was a big part of my life in the 80s-early 90s. I especially appreciate that even though the show’s focus is on the “darker” sound centered on the goth-industrial side of post-punk or new wave, you don’t forget to include some of the more positive, happy or euphoric songs these bands released. Balance is key for me. Really enjoy your taste, and the curated songs you bring us every week!

For a future show, I would like to request something from The Young Gods — How about from their earlier period, first 3-4 records (’85-’92)? Thanks!

  20. Good summer DW!

  21. My fav Smiths song and fav New Order song in one block and I didn’t even have to make a request. Thanks for all you do!
