  1. That was a mighty fine first hour there, I honestly couldn’t single out just one favorite. I did not expect Grace Jones to be present this evening, but it’s a better one for it. Thank you kindly for the Ministry. Keeping with my cover requests, would you play:

    Concrete Blonde- Little Wing

Tonight was another one of your top notch shows and I loved your own Joy Division request. Will definitely be relistening to this again as much as I can. Thank you for doing the Lord’s work.

  2. “Crystal Wrists” by Peter Murphy for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. Thanks for the UV Pop. And I agree with Dane about the Grace Jones cut and Hour 1. Great way to start my week.
On a future episode can I request “Rush” by Depeche Mode?
Thanks for the music. Have a great week.

  4. What a great show tonight. I always say it’s a pleasure having your program as part of my Sunday routine and I especially mean it tonight. This past week marked two years since I dived down the rabbit hole of Love and Rockets’ music and your program is to thank for that. It was the June 5th, 2022 episode and you played “Rain Bird” in the second hour. Hearing that intrigued me to listen to more of Love and Rockets’ music so I want to thank you immensely for changing my life. They’re my favorite band ever now and I don’t think it’ll ever change.

    Have a great week :)

  5. Could I possibly hear
World Domination Enterprises- Asbestos Lead Asbestos.
Please. Thanks. Love the show great stuff!

  6. Can you dig up a really cool Red Krayola cover
    Transparent Radiation by Spacemen 3
Great picks for tonights show loved hearing JAMC, Kissing The Pink, The Cure, Janes Addiction, Love And Rockets, Sisters Of Mercy and The Bolshoi.
    Thank you so much

  7. Hi Matt, really great episode tonight!
    Please play
Lead into Gold – The Sweetest Kiss
Thank you! See you next week!

  8. Great show! Some suggestions for next week:
    Monxeran – Turkish Delight
    Gut Bug – Distorted Pony
    Pull the Cup – Shellac

  9. Kicking off with JAMC/”Kill Surf City” warms my dark heart! I enjoyed Jane’s into Love and Rockets, acoustic Bunnymen and Grace Jones. And many thanks for playing my request for David Bowie.

I don’t have a request this week…just a quick note of appreciation for how much I enjoy this show. Matt, thanks for providing a consistently great show week after week. Cheers to you and the Dark Wave listeners.

  10. Hi Matt – another great set of music on DW this week. Thank you for never letting us down!!!! This time last year I was getting ready to go see The Cure’s Shows Of A Lost World tour stop in Toronto – on my birthday no less!! I would like to request the song that (literally) made me so emotional I cried whilst swaying to it…… Plainsong.

Please and thank you again as always!!! 。◕‿◕。

    • Oh jeez Tina, thank goodness I’m not the only one! There were some tears on my face when they played “Plainsong” in Montreal last summer. I think even Robert shed a couple. Heavenly memory.

      • Indeed!!!! I was honestly surprised how emotional I became….will always remember that show….6/14/23 ❤️❤️

  11. Thank you once again Matt. Absolutely great show
Can you play Ladybird by the Fall next week?

  12. First hour was really rocking!

    Here are some requests –

My Bloody Valentine – I Only Said
    Samhain – In My Grip

    Thanks!

  13. Now I’m feeling really summery! Thanks so much for kicking off the show with my JAMC request. And then my Executive Slacks request from several weeks back, double thank you! That first hour was simply flawless. The Bowie and Grace Jones were inspired requests, well done team. Also loved the industrial block at the front of hour 2 and the synth block that began with Fad Gadget and into hour three. You reminded me again how underrated He Said is, such a great Wire offshoot.

Is “Motorcycle” not one of the most Bauhausesque L&R songs? Every time I hear it I’m reminded of a fave off Burning From The Inside and I’m not sure if you’ve played this one in a good long while. May I request “Antonin Artaud” by Bauhaus?

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

P.S. I listened live last night and we all listened to the replay this afternoon while driving through rural Vermont, absolutely glorious.

  14. The Birthday Party – Mutiny In Heaven (1983)
Death In Vegas – Soul Auctioneer (1999)

  15. Hi Matt,
Always good to hear Jane’s Addiction, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Front 242 and Joy Division so thanks for the good music as always.
I do have a request for Ministry – All Day …remix if possible
    or Front 242 – Circling

  16. Liquid Liquid- Cavern Would me this chap very very happy

  17. So here´s the task for one of the next 3 hours show. Just for a change, play only songs by bands you haven´t played in the last 3 months. Wonder what you might come up with.

  18. Another great set. Listened twice! Thanks for “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” I got Gag and Best of Fad Gadget on vinyl and can’t stop playing. If there’s any good live stuff from him, would love to hear!

  19. John Barba

Hi Matt, always enjoy listening to the show and can take away either brilliant tracks i haven’t heard in a bit or something new i’ve not heard. since this Sunday is my birthday i’d love to hear a Lush song preferably the Childcatcher or Love at First Sight. thanks so much, John, Staten Island, New York
