This is a round-up of the week’s new albums, expanded reissues and/or box sets, appearing each Monday on Slicing Up Eyeballs. All releases due out this coming Friday unless noted. May also include some other titles released in recent weeks but not previously featured.

RELEASE: Stop Making Sense: Deluxe Edition
DETAILS: The soundtrack to the classic concert film receives an expanded reissue as a 2LP set, including previously unreleased tracks “Cities” and “Big Business/I Zimbra,” which were included in the original home video release of the film.

RELEASE: Live in Brooklyn 2011
DETAILS: The legendary noise-rockers’ final performance on U.S. shores is released this week on CD and vinyl. The 17-song, career-spanning set features “Sugar Kane,” “Death Valley 69,” “Tom Violence,” “Kill Yr Idols” and more.

RELEASE: End of World
DETAILS: John Lydon’s PiL last week released its 11th album since the band’s formation in the wake of the Sex Pistols’ implosion — a 13-track set that includes the pre-release singles “Hawaii,” “Penge” and “Car Chase.”

Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros

RELEASE: Live at Acton Town Hall, London
DETAILS:  This 17-song live set, recorded Nov. 15, 2002, about a month before Joe Strummer died, features a reunion with Mick Jones. It’s out this week on clear vinyl and, for the first time, CD. Only previously released on vinyl for Record Store Day.

Ministry

RELEASE: Twelve Inch Singles 1981-1984
DETAILS: The iconic collection of Al Jourgensen and Co.’s early material receives yet another reissue this week on blue vinyl via Cleopatra Records. The 2LP set includes “(Every Day Is) Halloween,” “Cold Life,” “All Day” and more.

Erasure

RELEASE: Always: The Very Best of Erasure
DETAILS:  Erasure’s 2015 best-of receives a first-ever vinyl pressing this week. The 2LP set, on heavyweight vinyl, includes “A Little Respect,” “Sometimes,” “Oh L’Amour” and more — as well as three tracks released since the original collection came out.

RELEASE: Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture (50th Anniversary Edition
DETAILS: Last week saw the release of newly remastered and restored 2CD and 2LP 50th anniversary editions of the soundtrack to the Ziggy Stardust film.

The Connells

RELEASE: Ring
DETAILS: Craft Recordings marks the 30th anniversary of The Connells’ breakthrough fifth album with a first widely-available vinyl reissue and an exapnded 2CD edition featuring 21 B-sides, previously unreleased demos and live versions.

The Cult

RELEASE: Sonic Temple, Ceremony
DETAILS: Beggars Arkive released new double-vinyl reissues of The Cult’s fourth and fifth albums. Sonic Temple is on translucent green vinyl, only available at independent retailers and the label. Ceremony is on red/blue vinyl at indie shops, black elsewhere.

RELEASE: Spooky, Split, Lovelife
DETAILS: The 4AD label has just released new vinyl issues of each of the shoegaze standouts’ three albums, originally released in 1992, 1994 and 1996. Each record has been newly remastered for these releases.
