Peter Gabriel
Peter Gabriel today announced the promised expansion of his North American tour — his first in more than a decade — in support of his forthcoming new studio album i/o, adding 13 more shows to the 12 already announced in the U.S. and Canada this September and October.
The new concerts are set for Washington, D.C., Buffalo, New York; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; St. Paul, Minnesota; Palm Springs, California; Denver, Colorado; and Austin, Dallas and Houston, Texas.
A presale for the new shows begins at noon local time today, March 21, and the general on-sale follows at 10 a.m. local time Friday, March 24. See petergabriel.com for full ticketing details.
The tour will find Gabriel joined by longtime bandmates Tony Levin, David Rhodes and Manu Katché.
Gabriel has not yet announced a release date for i/o, his first album of new music since 2002’s Up. But he has released several new songs, including “Panopticom,” “The Court” and “Playing for Time.”
