Tim Burgess of The Charlatans
The Charlatans recently completed a rapturously received North American coheadlining tour with Ride, and while the bands were in Seattle on Valentine’s Day, Tim Burgess and Co. stopped by the studios of radio station KEXP to play a four-song set.
That performance has just made it to YouTube, and you can watch it below.
The Charlatans played a trio of their best-known singles — 1990’s “The Only One I Know,” 1991’s “Weirdo” and 1996’s “One to Another” — plus “Chewing Gum Weekend,” a song, like “Weirdo,” on the band’s sophomore album Between 10th and 11th, which was played in its entirely each night of the tour.
