The Lemonheads’ sixth studio album Come On Feel the Lemonheads will receive an expanded 30th anniversary reissue this spring, with the original record packaged with a second disc featuring 14 alternative versions, unreleased demos, covers and rarities.
Fire Records will release Come On Feel (30th Anniversary Edition) on May 19 — with new artwork approved by bandleader Evan Dando — on digital and in a variety of physical formats, including three different 2LP sets (standard edition, limited-edition bookback and limited-edition double yellow and red vinyl) as well as standard and bookback 2CD sets.
There’s no indication the original 15-track album — released in 1993, and featuring the alt-rock hit “Into Your Arms” — has been remastered. The second disc includes alternative takes, demos and acoustic versions of tracks like “Big Gay Heart” and “Into Your Arms,” plus covers of songs by Victoria Williams, Buddy Holly and The Flying Burrito Brothers, plus the Cole Porter standard “Miss Otis Regrets.”
You can stream two of those bonus tracks below: the alternative take of “Being Around” and a cover Buddy Holly’s “Learning the Game.”
Dando and the Lemonheads have two live dates later this month in Canada.
