The Pixies today announced a second U.S. leg of their ongoing tour in support of last year’s Doggerel — the loud-quiet-loud legends’ fourth post-reunion album — and this set of dates will also feature special guests Franz Ferdinand and Bully.
The new 13-date leg follows a European tour in February and March as well as a run of previously announced U.S. shows in May, and will begin June 8 in Boston and run through a June 25 appearance in Austin, Texas.
Tickets for the new shows go on sale at 10 a.m. local time Friday; visit pixiesmusic.com for full details.
The band — original members Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering, plus bassist Paz Lenchantin — the 12-song album Doggerel in September. The Tom Dalgety-produced album is the band’s eighth overall and fourth released since originally reuniting in 2004.
