Hello! Could you play Exotica or Synaesthesia by Chris and Cosey? I saw them at the 9:30 Club in DC in my younger years and they were incredible! Thank you! And thank you for your show. It’s part of my Sunday night ritual to get ready for the work week: I put on Darkwave, take a hot bath and make some art. The combination puts me in the best mindset for the week ahead.

Hi Matt when you played the song by Suicide last night it reminded me of a band that i think you may have only played one other time The Darkside if possible could you play their cover of “Frankie teardrop” that also got me thinking about other bands like Spiritualized and Spectrum i know you have played songs by Spaceman 3 in the past it would be cool if you could start playing more by the other band that Spacemen 3 broke off into . Also another band is Luna that I haven’t heard much by on darkwave yet you play Galixie 500 im just pointing out the bands that i like that haven’t been played but than again i know that not all the bands those bands broke off to and started were around in the 80s . All im saying it would be nice to hear some stuff by them thanks for a terrific show great tracks by The Cure , 1919,PIL and Jesus and Mary Chain. You know how to pick them thank you . BEST SHOW ON SIRIUSXM !!!!!!

This week’s Darkness Award:
David Bowie, “I’m Afraid of Americans”
“I’m afraid of the world
I’m afraid I can’t help it
I’m afraid I can’t”
Great show Matt. Thought you only played Bela Lugosi’s Dead during Halloween, I’ll take the original any day of the year… Thank you for that song. Clan Of Xymox released an album over the summer, and was hoping you could play “Brave New World” off their “limbo” album. They still sound great, and all that sitting around during Covid lockdown produced some really good songs from them. Once again, love the show, and thanks for playing all the good stuff on Dark Wave!
Hey Matt, I’m always late listening to your shows on the app but thank you so much. Really loved this extended mix show. Fun versions of the things we’re so familiar with.
love the show, thanks for doing it and doing it so well. we are very thankful and appreciative for all your efforts, if you dont hear it enough.
Loved the Just Say Yes references, even the accidental one :-) I was flipping thru my CDs the other day and ran by a couple of them, forgot the original cover art, but it shows on the app when listening and was superific. Didnt stop to appreciate the CD at the time but your choice brought memories of back to the day.
Lastly, loved your comments reflecting on the The Perfect Kiss version on Substance. Only listened to it a 1,000 times and was moved that others have been drawn to it too.
New to me was the The Devil’s Dancers, a very nice surprise.
Again, great job as always.
