The musical mavens at The Arkive — the archival wing of the Beggars Group — today launch a new dark-hued playlist called “Goth: Yesterday and Today” that brings together 30 songs over more than two hours, spanning the late ’70s to today.
The Spotify playlist can be listened to directly on the streaming service or via the widget below.
The new collection of songs, which follows a pair of “Choice Cuts” playlists we shared here in 2019 and 2020, features classic goth-flavored tracks by Bauhaus, Christian Death, Fields of the Nephilim, The Mission and more, plus more recent fare from Interpol, Zola Jesus and Boy Harsher.
Check it out right here:

I can’t be the only one that is disappointed to find this wasn’t a physical compilation.
I love The Cult, but their rewrite of U2’s “A Celebration” should not be included here.
