Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have canceled — not just postponed — their planned 18-date North American tour this fall in support of the band’s 2019 double album Ghosteen. But the band’s already looking to 2021.

In a recent statement announcing the tour cancellation, the Bad Seeds said, “The band are planning to return to the U.S. and Canada in 2021, details to be announced this fall.”

The 2020 tour was to have opened Sept. 16 in Minneapolis, with the band playing theaters and arenas through an Oct. 17 date in Vancouver, B.C. Tickets purchased online or by phone are to be automatically refunded within 30 days, according to the band. People who bought tickets at venue box offices should contact those venues directly for refunds.

Saddest refund I’ve ever received. This was tops among a run of killer concerts that have been cancelled this year.
