A year ago, The Arkive — the archival wing of the Beggars Group — launched a 50-song curated playlist spotlighting some of the classic music as well as the deeper cuts released throughout the 1980s by its labels 4AD, Beggars Banquet, Situation Two and more.
Now the legendary label returns with a second round, another 50-song playlist — totaling 3½ hours of music — called “Choice Cuts From the Beggars Archive: Volume 2.” You can stream the mix directly on Spotify or via the player below, or head over to Deezer if that streaming service is more your flavor.
The Vol. 2 playlist features tracks from better-known acts like Cocteau Twins, The Fall, Clan of Xymox, Bauhaus, Pixies, This Mortal Coil and Gary Numan, as well as more underground fare from the likes of The Psychotik Tanks, Gilbert & Lewis, Dif Juz, Dance Chapter and more.
