The Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas last month announced that Madness will headline its 2020 installment along with the reunited Circle Jerks and Oi! pioneers Cock Sparrer. Now the 2 Tone-era ska heroes have announced three more rare U.S. concerts around that festival next May — the band’s first stateside shows in eight years.
The festival itself takes place May 21 through 25, and Madness has confirmed it is playing on the 25th. Before that, the group — Graham “Suggs” McPherson, Chris Foreman, Mike Barson, Lee Thompson, Dan Woodgate and Mark Bedford — will play concerts in Boston and New York City. After the festival, they’ll play Oakland, Calif., too. Head over to the band’s official site for ticket information.
Madness, which celebrated the 40th anniversary of its classic debut One Step Beyond… this year, last released a studio album in 2016. But just last month, the band premiered a brand-new single, “The Bullingdon Boys,” a quite topical swipe at British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Here that new song, and see Madness’ full tour dates, below.
