Rhino Records continues to dole out samples of the upcoming Dead Man’s Pop box set from The Replacements, a 4CD/1LP collection celebrating the Don’t Tell a Soul album and era that will include the two-disc The Complete Inconcerted Live — an in-concert set that includes the ripping live version of single and fan favorite “Alex Chilton” that you can hear below.
This previously unreleased live version of “Alex Chilton” was recorded at the band’s June 2, 1989, show on the University of Wisconsin’s Milwaukee campus.
Rhino Records on Sept. 27 will release Dead Man’s Pop, featuring Don’t Tell a Soul “mixed as it was originally intended,” is due out Sept. 27. It’s available for pre-order now via Amazon.com.
