Scene from “The Mojo Manifesto”
We first wrote about Freedom Records & Films’ documentary about Mojo Nixon back in 2013, and, at the time, it was expected out in 2014. We’re not entirely sure what delayed it, but the production has recently announced the film — “The Mojo Manifesto” — will be released in 2020.
Below, you can check out a 2-minute trailer for the documentary about the man born Neill Kirby McMillan Jr., that one-of-a-kind loud-mouthed rocker who rose to semi-fame in the late ’80s with the singles “Elvis is Everywhere” and “Debbie Gibson is Pregnant with My Two-Headed Love Child” — not to mention a classic name-drop in The Dead Milkmen’s “Punk Rock Girl.”

‘k I’m confused. Headline says this is due to come out NINE YEARS ago.
It was a typo in the headline. Now fixed.
You’re the BEST!
My first exposure to Mojo Nixon was when 91X played “Stuffin’ Martha’s Muffin”…good times
I Saw Mojo Nixon and the Toad Lickers in the 80’s at City Gardens in Trenton NJ. I think they opened for Dread Zeppelin. Absolutely crazy show can’t wait for the documentary!
They played at this sticky little rock club I tended bar at in the 90’s. I got to go hang out with them after the show, they were a blast!
Hopefully a big screen release!
Otherwise your theater could use some fixin’.
I have 13 commercials about 7 are Mojo Nixon see my website and watch and enjoy. reporecord.com
No doubt Mojo is still trying to get in touch with that little bit of Elvis that’s inside of him.
I never missed an Antenna Club Memphis gig starting from 89 . They were a blast ! I hope this doc has some of that wild footage! Love, Stuffin Martha’s Muffin from Elvis USA!
Remember those shows too. Way back out of control fun. Antenna club ruled!
