Having just completed a run of West Coast dates, and with their debut album due out next month, Poptone — longtime bandmates Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins, plus Haskins’ daughter Diva Dompe — have just rolled out more North American tour dates, a nine-concert run this summer that’ll see the band hitting the Midwest and East Coast.
The just-announced dates open June 20 in Minneapolis and run through July 1 in Silver Spring, Md., with shows in between in Chicago, Detroit, Quebec, Montreal, Brooklyn and more. Tickets go on sale Friday.
Those concerts will follow the release of Poptone’s self-titled debut album, a 13-song live radio session recorded in Los Angeles that features performances of classic-era songs originally recorded by Tones on Tail, Love and Rockets and Bauhaus. The album is due out June 8, and is available to pre-order now via Bandcamp in digital, CD and vinyl editions.
