For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we present some very rare, very high-quality early concert footage of The Church — 50-plus minutes of the band performing at what’s believed to be Hodern Pavilion in its hometown of Sydney, Australia, in 1982.
The 10-song performance — including strong early single “The Unguarded Moment” — is professionally filmed, with outstanding audio, but it’s not clear what the footage is from.
Check it out below via Music Documentaries & Concerts,

Thanks for the post. Love these guys. Had a chance to see them on a recent tour, they still sound awesome!
This is like discovering the Ark of the Covenant for fans of the early classic lineup of The Church. Saw them for the first time about then & it’s bringin’ it all back. Fantastic band; so many great albums to dive into!
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend grabbing a best of comp and starting the love affair with this incredible, psychedelic, space-rock band!
Saw this a couple of weeks ago, it’s fantastic. This is the year I started listening to the Church when they released “Blurred Crusade”.
This is so great. I saw the Church in 1990 and then again last September. So great!
Very special early footage of one of the greatest bands ever. Sisters- rare song…
