Following last year’s stripped-down acoustic tour, cult-favorite Scottish indie-pop outfit Trashcan Sinatras are planning to return North America — among other locales — and have hinted to fans they’ll be performing their 1990 debut album Cake along the way.
The band posted the album’s cover art on Facebook yesterday, writing, “Tour announcements are coming very soon — North America first, where you’ll be able to get your fill of Cake.”
Last year, the band toured the U.S. in a trio format — singer/guitarist Frank Reader, lead guitarist Paul Livingston and rhythm guitarist John Douglas — to celebrate its 30th anniversary with an acoustic tour dubbed “All Night with the Trashcan Sinatras.”
It’s not yet clear what lineup will be participating in this year’s touring.
We’ll update as more information becomes available.
