The reunited Norwegian pop trio a-ha has begun rolling out summer 2018 tour dates, including a half-dozen shows in the U.K. that will find the group playing football stadiums and cricket grounds with all-star synthpop support from OMD and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins.
Those U.K. dates open June 7 and run through June 17, with OMD missing one show, June 9 in Yeovil; that concert will feature Marc Almond of Soft Cell instead. The “Electric Summer” tour — which will find a-ha in full band mode, as opposed to its more recent unplugged reunion dates — will then head to Israel and Europe for more dates in July. Watch the band’s website for ticketing details.
After a worldwide farewell tour in 2010 that included rare U.S. dates, a-ha first reunited in 2011 to play a memorial for the victims of a Norwegian mass killing, then came back together again beginning in 2015 for sporadic shows and tours. The trio last month released a live album chronicling its 2017 unplugged tour.

Wow, nice lineup!
Would love to see one of these shows! Two excellent bands still making albums worth listening to after all these years.
