After scrubbing a short set of U.S. dates last year to support 2013’s More Light, Bobby Gillespie will bring Primal Scream back to North America this May for a nine-date run that will begin with a previously announced set at the Austin Psych Fest’s three-day Levitation festival in Texas alongside The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Following that May 9 festival set, the band — which currently finds Gillespie joined by Andrew Innes, Martin Duffy, Darrin Mooney, Barrie Cadogan and Simone Butler — will play eight more shows in New Orleans, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia and New York City (see full details below).
The David Holmes-produced More Light features guest appearances by Robert Plant, My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields and Mark Stewart of The Pop Group.

Soooo want you to come to Scotland this year. Any chance you could do Party at the Palace in Linlithgow. It’s an amazing venue! The dates are 8th and 9th August and headliners haven’t been confirmed. I know you would make it perfect. They are trying to frack right up to the loch where the venue is and having anti fracking bands come and see us would help a lot. Please Bobby!
