Perhaps fittingly, The Replacements capped off last night’s triumphant hometown gig — their first in 23 years, and the band’s first non-festival date since reuniting last summer — with a performance of fan favorite “Unsatisfied,” the first time the Let It Be classic has been dusted off since the ‘Mats got back together.
That concluded a 23-song performance before 14,000 fans at St. Paul’s Midway Stadium, a set that also featured the reunion debut of “Skyway,” which Paul Westerberg performed solo.

My wife and I drove more than 800 miles to be one of the lucky ones. Unforgettable night. Highlights too numerous to list. Would have liked to hear I.O.U. and Here Comes a Regular but who can really complain. The band was really having a blast.Very imotional night as well. I understand that Paul was actually crying after Unsatisfied.
For those that couldn’t make it, they filmed the show and are going to release it as a DVD.
Seriously?!!? Oh please, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, Cthulu, and Dawkins let it come out in its entirety and not with a bunch of Mats-fans-come-lately rabbiting on about the band over the performance.
