This is almost becoming a regular occurrence: Newly reunited college-rock legends The Replacements have been confirmed for their second festival appearance in as many days this morning at Boston Calling rolls out the lineup for its Sept. 5-7 extravaganza. The ‘Mats join The National, Lorde, Nas, The Roots and Neutral Milk Hotel near the top of the bill.
Having just followed last year’s three Riot Fest gigs with two Coachella shows this month, the Replacements are now slated to perform at five more festivals between May and October, including the just-announced two-weekend Austin City Limits Music Festival.
It’s not whether more dates are on their way this year or beyond.
Tickets for Boston Calling go on sale tomorrow.
The Replacements tour dates:
May 10: Shaky Knees Music Festival, Atlanta, GA
July 18-20: Forecastle Music Festival, Louisville, KY
Aug. 1-3: Osheaga Music Festival, Montreal, Canada
Sept. 5-7: Boston Calling Festival, Boston, MA
Oct. 3-5: Austin City Limits Music Festival, Austin, TX
