Dean Wareham, former frontman of dreampop favorites Galaxie 500 and Luna, today released a new solo single — “Love is Colder Than Death” b/w “She Want Walking in the Rain” — in advance of a mini-LP he’s prepping for release this fall, according to Pitchfork, which premiered the single that you can stream below or buy digitally or on 7-inch.
The A-side is an original song (Wareham, in a new release, says it’s about “epic journeys and happy returns”), while the B-side is a cover of a song written by Cheval Sombre and Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom.
The Emancipated Hearts mini-album is due out Oct. 15 in the U.S. and Nov. 4 in the U.K.
