Paisley Underground standard-bearers The Three O’Clock will prepare for their improbable Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival reunion this April with a far more intimate warm-up gig in Pomona, Calif. — part of the mammoth music fest’s slate of Los Angeles-area concerts taking place before and between the event’s twin weekends.
The Michael Quercio-led band also is playing San Francisco during the week between its sets on Coachella’s two Sundays, April 14 and 21. The Three O’Clock is set to perform April 6 at The Glass House in Pomona; tickets go on sale noon Friday. The band also will play San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall on April 17; those tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday.
Fans got an early glimpse at the reunion Feb. 16 when Quercio and drummer Danny Benair performed at a Beatles-themed benefit for the Autism Think Tank in Los Angeles along with Matthew Sweet, Pete Thomas of The Attractions and Vicki and Debbi Peterson of The Bangles — the latter two of whom are seen in a backstage photo with Quercio and Benair that Quercio shared on Facebook (see above).
