BACKSTORY: Depeche Mode last week premiered its new single and put the track — the first to be released off the forthcoming Delta Machine — on sale digitally, but a pair of different CD singles arrive this week featuring the B-side “All That’s Mine” plus several remixes of the title track (see full tracklist).

RELEASE: The Complete Studio Recordings: 1972-1982
BACKSTORY: This 10CD box set, which was released last summer in the U.K., finally arrives in the U.S. this week and includes all eight studio albums (Roxy Music, For Your Pleasure, Stranded, Country Life, Siren, Manifesto, Flesh And Blood and Avalon), plus two bonus discs featuring non-album singles, B-sides and alternative mixes.

RELEASE: In the Flat Field, Mask
BACKSTORY: Beggars Archive this week releases new vinyl pressings of the goth legends’ first two studio albums using the 2008 remastering done for the label’s Omnibus CD box sets for both the vinyl editions and accompanying bonus CDs. In the Flat Field features “Stigmata Martyr” and “Double Dare,” while Mask features “The Passion of Lovers.”

BACKSTORY: The former Sugarcubes frontwoman this week releases a collection of remixes of tracks from her 2011 album Biophilia, a set that includes collaborations with Current Value, Death Grips, Hudson Mohawke, Alva Noto, Matthew Herbert, Omar Souleyman, 16-bit, These New Puritans and The Slips.

RELEASE: Lovesick Blues
BACKSTORY: Following last year’s reunion album from The dB’s, one of that band’s founders returns this week with his first new album since a 2005 collaboration with Yo La Tengo called A Question of Temperature. The album features such tracks as “I Wrote This Song For You,” “Astronomy” and “The Room Above the Bookstore.”

ARTIST : Julian Cope
RELEASE: St. Julian
BACKSTORY: The former Teardrop Explodes frontman this week reissues this third solo album, which was original released in 1987, as a two-disc expanded edition featuring a bonus disc full of remixes and B-sides, many of which can be found on the 1997 rarities collection The Followers of St. Julian.
