Karl Wallinger will bring World Party back to the U.K. for the band’s first concerts in its native U.K. in a decade, with shows announced in Oxford and at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall this fall. It’s clear how many dates World Party will play; the band’s site only lists the London concert, but a listing for the Oxford gig refers to the band’s “first proper U.K. live dates in 10 years, culminating with a huge show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.”
This spring, World Party released Arkeology, a new five-disc box set featuring 70 unreleased tracks. To coincide with the release, Wallinger staged a small number of performances at U.S. record stores and radio stations, and while there have been suggestions a U.S. tour is in the offing, the two U.K. dates in late October and early November are World Party’s only announced dates at the moment.
World Party tour dates:
Oct. 29: O2 Academy, Oxford, UK
Nov. 1: Royal Albert Hall, London, UK
