Having already preempted their massive Manchester homecoming gigs with festival dates in Scandinavia and Germany, The Stone Roses have once again bumped up the start of their hugely anticipated summer reunion tour with a trio of just-announced smaller-venue concerts in Barcelona and Amsterdam in early June.
The Roses — Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary “Mani” Mounfield and Alan “Reni” Wren — now are set to debut their reunion with shows June 8 and 9 at the 4,000-capacity Club Razzmatazz in Barcelona, followed by a June 12 date at the 5,500-capacity Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, the band announced this week on its official site.
The band also announced supports acts for its three outdoor shows in Manchester’s Heaton Park in late June and early July, including Primal Scream, Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye, The Wailers and The Clash’s Mick Jones. So far, the Stone Roses have announced 23 performances, largely festival appearances, this summer in Europe and Asia.
No American concerts have been announced.
