British post-punk trio The Raincoats — who, like The Vaselines, enjoyed a ’90s career renaissance thanks to Kurt Cobain’s fandom — will follow up their appearance at the Jeff Mangum-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the U.K. with an appearance at the 35 Denton festival in Texas and a short run of West Coast dates.
The band — which reissued its sophomore album, 1981’s Odyshape, last year — will perform its debut, 1979’s The Raincoats, at ATP on March 9, then head to the U.S. for a March 11 appearance at 35 Denton — which last week confirmed The Jesus and Mary Chain for that band’s first show in four years — before playing Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland.
The Raincoats tour dates:
March 9: All Tomorrow’s Parties, Minehead, UK
March 11: 35 Denton, Denton, Texas, USA
March 13: Echoplex, Los Angeles, CA, USA
March 14: Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, CA, USA
