With the Pet Shop Boys’ brand-new double-disc B-sides compilation Format — a sequel to 1995′s 2CD set Alternative that spans the years 1996 to 2009 — out in the U.K. this week, the folks at EMI Music have put together this nine-minute interview reel with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe discussing their method of writing B-sides, their format of choice (7-inch vinyl, Lowe says) and which song on the new comp is most personal to them (“No Time For Tears,” Tennant says).
