BACKSTORY: The Thin White Duke’s critically acclaimed 1999 album is reissued this week in expanded form, with five bonus tracks — including remixes and a demo — appended to the original album. Still, it’s less less bonus material than when the album was reissued in 2005 as a 2CD set with a 17-track bonus disc.

BACKSTORY: The Scottish punk act — featuring a pre-Big Country Stuart Adamson — is anthologized in a new 2CD singles collection, out this week in the U.K., that features the tracks “Into the Valley,” “The Saints Are Coming,” “Hymns for a Haunted Ballroom, “Goodbye Civilian,” “Working for the Yankee Dollar” and many more.

RELEASE: Underworld Awakening: Official Motion Soundtrack
BACKSTORY: Fan of The Cure will want to seek out this week’s release of the soundtrack to “Underworld Awakening,” as it features Danny Lohner’s “Renholdër Remix” of the Wish ballad “Apart.” Lohner also remixed 2008′s “Underneath the Stars” for the “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” soundtrack.

what does bowie have to do with college rock
It would be nice if they should reissue the 2007 10CD Bowie box set that collects the last 5 studio LPs and all the single b-sides on 5 more bonus disc. Great collection!
‘Hours…’ is still a fun album, and the tracks they’ve picked are the pick of the bunch.
