Don’t feel like shelling out $4,000 to see Peter Murphy live this spring? There are at least two other (much, much) cheaper options, as the former Bauhaus leader is set to perform what appears to be a one-off California club show in March in addition to at least one date in Mexico, at a festival headlined by Modest Mouse and Public Enemy.
Murphy has hinted on his website that “news of Mexico and a California concert (is) coming soon,” and that appears to refer to a slot at Festival 72810 in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico, on March 10, as well as a March 16 show at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, Calif. It’s not yet clear whether more Mexican gigs are on the itinerary this spring.
Last week, Murphy opened bidding for “The Miracula Sessions,” billed as “an intimate, all inclusive weekend that will afford fans unparalleled access to Peter himself.” The March 2-4 event in Las Vegas features private performances and dinners with Murphy, and the bidding starts at $3,995.
Peter Murphy tour dates:
March 2-4: The Miracula Sessions, Las Vegas, NV
March 10: Festival 72810, Cholula, Puebla, Mexico
March 16: Galaxy Theatre, Santa Ana, CA
