The Smiths weekend on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave The ’80s alternative satellite-radio station celebrates the music of Morrissey and Co. this weekend, starting with a live BBC concert at 9 p.m. EST today and then followed by interviews with Andy Rourke airing every hour starting at 6 p.m EST Friday. The Stone Roses to headline festivals in Portugal, Norway Since we last checked in with the reunited Roses’ slowly dribbling tour schedule, the Madchester legends have added headlining slots at Portugal’s Optimus Alive (July 13) and Norway’s Oya (Aug. 7-11) festivals. Peter Hook announces more Joy Division shows in the UK As he won’t be touring with his former New Order bandmates next year, Hooky today unveiled yet another round of dates with his band The Light at which he’ll perform Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures and Closer albums.
