Synth pioneer Gary Numan is set to release a new album called Dead Son Rising this September that will feature “a mixture of new songs, instrumental tracks and specially commissioned remixes” that he will sell exclusively through his website and on a just-announced seven-date U.K. tour.
Numan is previewing the disc — co-written and produced by Ade Fenton, and due out Sept. 5, although a tracklist has not yet been announced — with an edit of “The Fall” that premiered at Artrocker.tv to coincide with his appearance on the magazine’s cover this month. You can stream the song below, or download it directly from the magazine.
Beginning Sept. 15 in Nottingham, Numan will take Dead Son Rising on the road, playing seven concerts in the U.K., wrapping up Sept. 21 in Leeds (see full dates below).

Cool. I’m hoping it’ll end up being heavy on new songs, rather than a bunch of remixes. It’s been a while since a new album. Saw Gary Numan in the mid-90s and was one of the best shows ever. This new track sounds great. :)
