New Wave-era singer-songwriter Marshall Crenshaw is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of his debut single “Something’s Gonna Happen'” by offering fans a free download of a previously unreleased live recording of “Maryanne,” which appeared on his classic 1982 self-titled debut.
You can download the track — recorded in 1987 at First Avenue in Minneapolis — in exchange for an e-mail address via the widget below. Or head over to Crenshaw’s website, where the first 10 fans who can guess the exact date of the performance and name the band members playing with Crenshaw will receive a second unreleased free download.
Crenshaw currently is on the road in support of his latest album, Jaggedland (see dates below), and is expected to announce more 30th anniversary concerts in the near future.
